The Skeleton Project
The skeleton I choose to make a human skeleton. I chose to make the human skeleton because I think it is very important to know your own body and its anatomy. As the saying goes knowledge is power, meaning that the the more you know the more that information works in your favor. That way you can take care of your own body and protect your bones, body and health.
The materials that I needed for this project were wood skewers, scissors, a glue gun, glue, a pencil, a thin sharpie marker, black paint, a paint brush and a piece of paper. The first step was to draw a skeleton head/skull with a pencil and once I liked how it looked I traced it with a black thin sharpie marker to make it stand out more. My second step was to take a skewer and cut it to different lengths for the different bones with scissors. After cutting the wood pieces needed I put them in the correct placement and moved on to step three. My step three was to get every individual piece and paint them all black and wait for them to dry. Once all the pieces are dry I glued them into place with my hot glue gun. Step four and the final step was to give the so called bones another coat of black paint and I labeled the bones.
My experience making this skeleton was pretty fun it gave me a change to express a little creativity in how I was going to put together the skeleton and with what materials. In my opinion it is important to know the anatomy of your own body to maintain your body healthy and to know when something is wrong with you. Knowing your body and its anatomy can help you when you get injured to know which area hurts and to be able to tell your doctor what is wrong and where. The skeletal system is important to have knowledge of because its the system in which it is possible to walk and to have range of motion and it contributes majorly to our way of life.

Water Weight Project
I used and created these decorated water jugs for arm weights. On average arm weights cost $1.50-2.00 per pound so all together they would be 17-20 dollars but all these weights actually cost about 2 dollars ;a dollar a jug. I chose to wake arm weights because I think it is really important to have arm strength because you use your arm strength for everyday basic things, like opening jars or picking up random things.
The materials I used for these weights were the water jugs, paintbrushes, paint, black markers, black ribbon, scissors, and water. The first step was to clean off the jugs and fill both of them halfway and measure the half way points. My second step was to start painting one jug at a time, the first jug side I painted was a forest. On that same jug on a different side I did a orange to red ombre with a heart in the middle and on the third side I painted a quote saying "don't give up" and "keep going" after finishing all the painting details I set it out to dry and start painting the other water jug. On the other water jug I did a light pink to dark pink ombre with petals on the bottom fourth and the rest with hearts and on the other side I put the quote "you are strong!" and waited for them to dry. The last step would be to tie a bow with black ribbon.
My experience making these homemade weights was pretty entertaining because I could really paint what ever my mind wanted to paint. I believe it is very important to know how to make work out equipment because in difficult circumstances like being in a pandemic we should still take care of ourselves and care for our bodies. With this homemade equipment you will mostly workout your bicep and tricep muscles. Three workouts that can be done are bicep curls, bench press, and shoulder press overs.
